My keen interest in both art and nature led me to the study of botanical art. Nature became my classroom-one of precise learning and scientific drawing.
Nature's sounds, smells, colors, textures, line and form became my inspiration and palette. This continues to evolve, guiding me to new observations each time I draw, paint and collage... expanding my expression with the natural world as my muse.
Art has been my passion since childhood. My  publishing industry career of twenty years included Glamour, House Beautiful, Colonial Homes and The New Yorker. In Manhattan, I studied at the Art Students League.
While living in Katonah, N.Y.  I  began my study of Botanical Art and Nature Journaling with Laura Gould and Corinne Lapin-Cohen of the New York Botanical Garden and Lasdon Park Arboretum.
Since moving to Weston, CT, I have studied with Bobbi Eike Mullen, Dmitri Wright, Lori Lohstoeter, Larry Morelli, Steve DiGiovanni, Mari Ogihara and Joe Fucigna.
My artwork reflects a varied expression of nature in mixed media combining acrylic, watercolor, paper collage, pastels, ink and colored pencil. Texture is of particular importance in defining my work.

Most recently I am experimenting with encaustic wax as my artwork evolves and emerges in new directions.
